Dumfries and Galloway has a population of approximately 148,000.
The largest town in the region is Dumfries with a population of 31,600.
The two other main towns are Stranraer (10,800 pop.) and Annan (8,300 pop.).
All other settlements have populations of 4,500 or less.
Since it opened the Queen of the South Arena has proved popular with not only supporters of the club but the wider community. The continued success of the indoor facilities at Palmerston Park has led to the club being able to announce an increase in hours the pitches will be available to book as well as the recruitment of further staff and extended opening hours for the cafe.
